You may think it insane to pay over $30.00 for a garlic press. This Kuhn Rikon Epicurean Garlic Press is hands down the best garlic press I have ever used. If my memory serves me correctly, I discovered it on one of the PBS cooking shows on Saturday afternoons. I think it was during a product testing of garlic presses on Cook’s Country TV.

Anyway, I splurged, and I am so glad I did! I use garlic in my recipes several times a week, so this kitchen tool is a workhorse in my food preparation. It will press garlic or ginger, and you can even press unpeeled garlic.

The main reason it is so superior to other garlic presses I have owned is that it requires such little effort to use. For a woman with not a lot of physical strength, I appreciate that! Another thing I love is that it is so easy to clean. When I have finished using it, I just flip out the hinge and rinse the sieve and flush all the garlic skins out, then pop it into the dishwasher.

Do yourself a favor and invest in this great kitchen tool that will never have to be replaced. You will be glad every time you use it.
