Dorco Women’s Shai Soft Touch 3+3 Razor

Dorco is a South Korean Beauty Brand. You can purchase them through their US website. Their women’s razors are comparable to US versions like Gillette or Schick but at substantial cost savings. This wouldn’t matter if they sold an inferior product.

Dorco sells a razor called a Shai Soft Touch 3+3 that is the best women’s razor I have EVER used. I’m not kidding. There are so many incredible aspects of this woman’s razor. Please allow me to name a few:

  1. No goop! I hate the tiny rectangular bars of soap/shaving cream that horizontally border many women’s luxury razors here in the US.
  2. It contains 6 blades (dual 3-blade cartridges) that pivot in the center which makes it so effective at removing hair and so comfortable to use.
  3. It grips your skin somehow without being irritating, meaning the razor’s contact with your skin is astounding!
  4. It works! Fast and non-irritating shave.

Head over here to try one, you will be thanking me I promise! Shop through Ebates and receive 4% cash back.

Interesting information about the company from their website:

Dorco’s product origins date back to 1955 when their small company was founded in South Korea. Their products are now sold in over 97 countries. By strategically aligning with Dorco, Dorco USA has been able to introduce the pinnacle of shaving innovation to the U.S. consumer marketplace, including the world’s first 6 blade shaving system.

CeraVe PM Moisturizer

There are facial moisturizers out in the marketplace at every price point. How do you choose? Personally, I think the majority of them are incredibly overpriced. CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion is a hidden gem, and available at the drug store.

This darling of a moisturizer is beloved by many beauty bloggers on YouTube. A couple of my favorites, HotandFlashy and Dr Drey, both use and adore it. Me too! CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion has some key ingredients that have put it in the spotlight such as niacinamide, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid to name a few.

The size container this moisturizer comes in is a perk as well. Most facial moisturizers are in 1-ounce tubes or bottles, CeraVe PM weighs in at three fluid ounces, what a value!

The next time you purchase a moisturizer, try this one out. You will be so happy you discovered it!

The “Pixie” Haircut

When I started graying the texture of my hair became very coarse. I tried many styles . . . I just could NOT get my hair to cooperate. Finally, I decided to cut it – into a pixie!

I am so glad that the “Pixie” cut has come back into style. First, it is no fuss. Secondly, I think it is flattering for many middle-aged women, like myself. And lastly, it is short enough that texture issues aren’t a problem. I haven’t enjoyed my hair this much for years!

If you too are at wit’s end with your current hairstyle consider a pixie cut. If you don’t care for it, you can always grow it out. Chances are you may be like me and absolutely love it!

bareMinerals Prep Step Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Mineral Shield

Many high-SPF mineral sunscreens are now available in the marketplace. However, when buying sunscreen for the face, high SPF just isn’t enough. Texture and the lack of a residual white cast are incredibly important as well. If I am applying a high SPF sunscreen that protects me from potential skin cancer but look like Casper or an oil slick after applying it, my compliance in using it will decrease rather quickly.

Last year, bareMinerals introduced a sunscreen and primer in one. I purchased it and fell in love! Even though it initially appears white, once applied it has no color at all. It imparts a glow to my skin and is an excellent primer when I’m wearing my bareMinerals powder foundation.

Head over here and pick up a bottle, especially if like me, you wear a mineral powder foundation. I have to say though, on those days when sunscreen is all I get around to wearing, it still looks fantastic. It softens the look of my pores, just like an effective primer should. Give bareMinerals Prep Step Mineral Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 50 a try; I think you’ll love it!

CeraVe Healing Ointment

Cerave Healing Ointment was recommended by a YouTube blogger who also happens to be a dermatologist. Her channel is Dr Dray (A Day in the Life of a Dermatologist) and believe it or not, she vlogs every day!

I use this ointment primarily on my dry hands and it gives more relief than any department or drug store product I have ever used. It is also great for dry feet, used with socks at bedtime.

This ointment comes in a few sizes, from small lip balm size to a large jar. The smaller size is great to slip into your handbag.

I use a couple of other CeraVe products like their face wash, PM face moisturizer; both which I love. Grab a tube of this fantastic emollient ointment, I’m confident you’ll find many uses for it!

PanOxyl-4 Acne Foaming Wash

As others have said, age 50 is the gift that keeps on giving! One of those “gifts” is hormonal acne. I had heard this but thought since I didn’t have acne as a teenager I was safe from this menace. Not so!

During menopause, some of us get hormonal acne on our face, upper chest or back. (I’m not even kidding.) PanOxyl Foaming Wash has been my remedy. I use in the shower on any areas that are breaking out, and it keeps everything in check so that I don’t have to look like a teenager with wrinkles.

Head over here and pick up a tube or you can find it in your pharmacy by the acne medications. Problem solved – love that!

Living Proof No-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner

I have struggled with frizzy hair for many years and feel like I’ve tried just about everything on the market that has claimed to help my unruly hair. Some brands are better than others, but most that do help contain heavy silicones. I have been using Living Proof’s frizz shampoo and conditioner since the beginning of the year and have been more than a little impressed with this duo.

Living Proof is a brand that was developed by a group of scientists from MIT. Their frizz line supposedly contains a Healthy Hair Molecule (OFPMA) that blocks humidity, therefore reducing frizz. The brand claims that this line is the biggest breakthrough in anti-frizz technology in over 30 years.

All I know is the frizz shampoo and conditioner by Living Proof works better than any that I have used. My hair feels really soft as well, which is a big deal to me because it can feel like a brillo pad! Head over here and pick up a set if you too struggle with frizzy hair. I think you will be very pleased.

bareMinerals Brow Powder

It is said that at mid-life you begin to discover hairs where you don’t want them and lose hairs where you do. Unfortunately, I have found that to be pretty accurate.

One of the places we begin to lose hair is our eyebrows. It sneaks up on us and one day we’re looking in the mirror and wondering where our brows went. I have tried many ways to camouflage this problem using brow pencils or gel brow liners and to be honest they look weird (like someone drew them on!).

I have recently run across a product that looks much more natural. It is bareMinerals Brow Powder. It comes in four shades and you apply it with a brush like this one. After applying you can leave it alone or seal it with a clear brow gel.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid

I am pretty fickle when it comes to skin care and cosmetics. Even though I certainly have my favorites (those things which have proven themselves over time to actually work) I still am drawn to all the new “latest and greatest” when they are launched.

One item I never stray from is Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid. It keeps my pores unclogged and minimalized. As we age, women often suffer from enlarged pores and hormonal acne. This product really is the answer to both of these problems.

There is a 20% off sale going on now with free shipping included, so take advantage of that. There is no code, however, you need to use this link. Offer is for a limited time only. You will love this product, I promise! Shop through Ebates and receive 3.5% cash back.

Scensibles

My product review this week is strictly for the ladies.

It would seem we ladies always have “something” we need to dispose of discreetly. Many of us are guilty of thinking that when we reach menopause we will finally be finished with feminine care products. Au contraire!

Menopause has many surprises for us – and not many welcome. One is our bladder muscles seem to weaken overnight. All of a sudden Poise products are on the shopping list. Many of us experienced a gradual weakening of these muscles after our pregnancies, however, this problem increases significantly during menopause.

Scensibles offer a sanitary and discreet way to dispose of anything you need to. It doesn’t hurt that they are packaged adorably and are pink!

Head over to Amazon and pick up a box of these. They aren’t available through Amazon Prime but I love them so much I buy them regardless. (I am not the only one as this product has a five-star rating.)
