There are facial moisturizers out in the marketplace at every price point. How do you choose? Personally, I think the majority of them are incredibly overpriced. CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion is a hidden gem, and available at the drug store.

CeraVe Healing Ointment

Cerave Healing Ointment was recommended by a YouTube blogger who also happens to be a dermatologist. Her channel is Dr Dray (A Day in the Life of a Dermatologist) and believe it or not, she vlogs every day!

I use this ointment primarily on my dry hands and it gives more relief than any department or drug store product I have ever used. It is also great for dry feet, used with socks at bedtime.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid

I am pretty fickle when it comes to skin care and cosmetics. Even though I certainly have my favorites (those things which have proven themselves over time to actually work) I still am drawn to all the new “latest and greatest” when they are launched.

Dermaplaning

Have you heard of dermaplaning? It is a process where you exfoliate while also removing the fine hairs (peach fuzz) from your facial skin.

Using a tool such as a Feather Flamingo Facial Touch-up Razor (see picture above), you hold your facial skin taut. Holding the razor at a slight angle, you shave your entire face (less immediate eye area). Continue reading “Dermaplaning”
